Bizarre event to which no-one sent their real squads, and we were struggling for energy by about our third game. Comfortable, albeit attritional, victories against our two foreign opponents meant we were confident of securing a Div 2 place, but suddenly a fractious win over Fusion with other results going our way meant we could make Div 1. So, we didn't try too hard in the Clapham game (other than my accidentally getting a haemotoma in my tricep), with the intention of saving ourselves for EMO, but as it turned out we didn't have the personnel anyway, so conceded the result. Clapham did the same for Fire to give them top seed, and Chevron then chumped it against Fusion to leave us 6th rather than 4th. Who cares if it was what we really deserved?
